Silver Veil Amulets from Bedouin Tribe Earrings
Perfume vessels. Dusty rose vintage-silk tassels combined with antique 19thc. silver veil amulets from the Bedouin tribe of Yemen. These silver cones were often filled with scented oil. Each silver drop has a tiny protective hand amulet on the front. In keeping with tradition, these earrings have been filled with cotton wading so that a drop of scent can be added, Sterling silver earwires and tassel mount. Length of earring to the top of the wire is 3.75” (9.5cm).
